Was sick all last week and only had the energy to make this :) I didn't really plan this one out...so I'll call it experimental.

This character is well known and has appeared many times in various comics and cartoons. The character I created has a face that contains a lot of sadness and is sometimes very ghostly. Botanical Hawk Design I drew for my former junior college alumni banquet. They had it printed on a giant canvas for people to color. It started out as a small doodle and transpired into something else. ha ha. Made this with Sakura Micron Ink ( 01 and 005) on Bristol with Digital Editing to finish.

Sugar skulls celebrate the life and stories of our loved ones who have passed on. Each skull encompasses a unique theme representing a piece of their life. It’s a reminder of who they are. It’s their story.

I began with the intention of creating a mandala, but it evolved into what looks like a cell. In my notebook next to this it says, "If the cells in my body were a reflection of my outward exterior, this would be a perfect representation." When the Universe bestowed upon me the gift of truly seeing color, my life was changed forever.

Just a simple little mandala doodle drawing I drew this morning.... getting better a doodle at a time!! Hope to draw better more complex and more evenly spaced out designs in the future. I am a completely self-taught artist who is not at all naturally talented in drawing or any art medium for that matter but am learning and praticing and getting better daily. My advice is if you are a beginner or aren't naturally blessed artistically but have the passion creative mindset and desire to become good at art then keep going keep on praticing and learning from those before you and I promise you will get better and eventually great! YOU ARE AN ARTIST!!
