I've recently made a card display for my cards and prints at an art space I'm exhibiting in for a while. Had to doodle the back, I couldn't not the doodle the back, which I think adds to the charm of my display being handmade and selling my merch... Artists from the planet Earth believe that inspiration is an inner energy that gives them ideas, mental power which strengthens the will to create a new work. We Assheads from the World of Fantasy, we know that inspiration is a living being that manages the actions of artists, states them to actions that normal man would not do. We consider the coming of inspiration - to a reasonable extent - good for creativity, but if the inspiration gets us in a firm hug and does not give up, it can have a devastating impact on the individual. In such instances, inspiration shows their other, insidious nature, about which little is spoken. Inspiration will, for example, propel artist - as the devil sinning soul - to constantly create, to eat is not thought, to be many nights sleepless, his sexual life can suffer, etc. Striking inspiration, such as a comet in the head, can, in some cases, result in a straitjacket, even death. We Assheads know that it is not wise to give advice to the artist struck by inspiration, warn him that there are still other joy and values in life. His inspiration closed his ears, he works with him as with a toy, so the artist could retaliate with aggression, considering that his personal freedom was compromised. For these and other reasons, we Assheads, marginal artists from the World of Fantasy, do not give special importance to artistic inspiration. - It's important to paint something, dance some dance, make some melody - says asshead Caci - - no matter what you create, there will always be someone stupid enough to see art in it.

Mermay Day 22: Self(ie)-portrait

These are my drazelflies , which are forming part of my insectadoodle collection.

Was planning to use as a part of something else but decided I liked it by itself.

This Illustration is a revisited self portrait. The breast on my back feed four pencils/tentacles and the color spread from the female body to the page and "travel" all around the surface. The meaning is to show the reciprocity between the artist and the manufact.

I don't have this one for sale on anything that I know of. It's just a sketch of a possible positive future. There are too many dystopias. If we all assume things are going to end terribly, it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

A recent commission from a patron of mine. They have weekly game #DungeonsAndDragons game nights and wanted all of their original thought up characters in a group shot. I was happy to oblige -- this was both a challenge and so much fun! A total of 13 characters was done, in about 2 1/2 weeks time!

In this photo I drew two Betta fish, a clock and a female in a dark background. Drawing this picture was more of a self expression. The two betta fish expressed conflict; the clock expressed running out of time and the female I guess would represent myself. I was in a dark period while drawing this, but happy to say, I’ve managed to pull through my obstacles =)

What I hate about myself is - some odd day like today, I’ll have a memory of an elephant. Instead of trying to forget, I try to remember and accept what the emotion is trying to convey #anniversaryreminder #randomquotes

First portrait I ever made back in 2009/2010. This is my daughter, and she was 16 when she took this lovely selfie, and I just had to give it a try. I am very happy with it, and so was she.

The Japanese say you have three faces. The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends, and your family. The third face, you never show anyone.

I drew a girl holding a cupcake and felt bored by her, so I added some sweet-ass tats. This was fountain pen ink run through water brushes. For more Digital Random Joy™, be sure to check out Instagram Super_Starling, which is a fairly fun place, if I do say so myself.

My iPad doodle of the shipyard cranes. Near where I grew up in Belfast. I managed to get to the top of one whilst a young boy. Some view over Belfast.

Recently, I was asked to illustrate the Discworld as imagined in Terry Prachett's work. The illustration (24 "X 24") was printed on a self-adhesive vinyl and applied to the mandator's car.

And this is my only contribution to mermay. It doesn't look very good, I know. But I'm glad to draw a mermaid for the first time on mermay, I dreamed about it when I could only draw squiggles. I drew it for half a month, and during this time, I even managed to come up with a deep (don't shoot) lore. According to my idea, Eddie needed some sunken cargo (and not only him). Amber offered her help in exchange for some relic of her people, which is stored in the Gotham Museum (even being a mermaid, she is an opportunist). Eddie told her to go to hell and tried to get the cargo with the help of his robots, which Amber successfully sabotaged underwater to pressure him into the deal. In this drawing, Eddie's ran out of luck and got himself roughened up and almost drowned (definitely not Batman this time). Amber saved his skin. No gratitude is expected yet, but this is the least of their problems. Jean advises Amber (they are not at odds in this AU) to leave the polluted waters near Gotham before something happens to her and her health, but she is stupidly stubborn when it comes to the Riddler (and her goals).
