One of my favourite series. I'm trying to strike the right balance between the abstract and the realism, and I think I try to do that through my use of colours. It's the most rewarding feeling when you use unexpected colours and they come together somehow! Acrylics, watercolour pens and posca markers.

Had itchy fingers while watching critical role with a friend and we ended up designing a tiefling together. His name is Vigilance and he know you've been watching him. ;D I don't usually draw spicy stuff so I figured I could use him for the dungeons and dating meme Kroovv started.

Fifth Sorrowful Mystery: The crucifixion. I made the water and blood appear sorta as when Jesus appeared in the Divine Mercy devotion. Indeed a great act of mercy, his head is leaning towards the Good Thief, St. Dismas, to show his mecy towards him, the other thief refused (Gesmas). We also have St. John the Apostle, St. Mary Magdeline, Our Blessed Mother and St. Longinus, the roman soldier who pierced Jesus' heart with the Holy Lance. St. Longinus was healed spiritually the water and blood that poured forth by this act and believed, proclaiming Jesus to truly be the Son of God. "And when they came to the place which is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. And Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do' ...It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!' And having said this he breathed his last" (Lk 23:33-46). Squirtle: no more no less. Actually more about it, my lighting is bad, aka the yellow tint. Also color picking is really hard, and i might have to do a bit more outlining to the piece to make it look cohesive. But overall the composition is balanced i think, even if i slacked off with the execution a bit towards the end

If red is for hardiness and valor, may we show courage and resilience. If white is for purity and innocence, may we help protect the young, disadvantaged and helpless. If blue stands for vigilance, perseverance and justice, may we put a mirror to ourselves and learn persistently.

Original characters for a story which might never see the day of light. Amar and Aska belongs to me, Augustine and Sayeed belongs to my Hubby. We call them the Ass quartet or The triple As A-S. Augustine would be the main character, Amar her foil/lancer, and Aska and Sayeed would be supporting characters. I'm still practising communicating though character and setting design, so I will probably re-design them about 100 times more before they will ever be done.
