Hello, my name is Neil Tackaberry,
and I'm a doodle addict. Ireland

For the most part I draw with purpose, but sometimes I just doodle in front of the TV during commercial breaks. I'm more comfortable with a pencil in the hand than a paint brush, but I'm trying to broaden my horizons. I generally tend towards the Movie & TV fan art genre, but I've been known to dabble in other areas too. The pieces I will post here span across many years, so please forgive the inconsistent levels of skill displayed. It has been and still remains a journey. One of the scariest characters I've ever seen. The most frightening of the vampires from the movie "Fright Night" (1985). I had to draw her as a form of therapy. Thumbs-up for the art department on that movie! If she had had white eyes instead of the red eyes in the movie, I would've been irreparably damaged! :) (Pencil on paper, size A4).

As usual I struggled to get a true likeness, but that notwithstanding, I was still pleased with the result. HB, 5B and 9B graphite pencils on smooth cartridge drawing paper, size A3.

Ink & graphite doodles/sketches, (this time more graphite than ink.) A5 size ruled notepad paper. This started out like other doodles of mine, but quickly morphed into something a bit more deliberate and complicated.
