Matchbook Series drawing

I'm taking part in a doodle-a-day challenge on Instagram - here's my entry for the prompt 'game'. I'm going for an adventure / lost boys theme, so reckoned hopscotch is the kind of game they might play in the sand :)

doodle based on a quote from David Copperfield : I used to fancy, as I sat by him of an evening, on a green slope, and saw him watch the kite high in the quiet air, that it lifted his mind out of its confusion, and bore it (such was my boyish thought) into the skies.

I've undertaken a new goal to upload a new piece of art every day. I'm already 28/28 over on my Instagram. This little number is from yesterday, he's just a pretty sad boy.

This shows a girl/boy floating in a what seems to be a different galaxy.

Copic Markers and Fountain Pen

This is a note my boyfriend wrote to me and left on my desk at work.. I have the most perfect boyfriend in the world ♡

Cowboy portrait from one of my old sketchbooks. I did more pencil sketching in the past, but eventually moved into ink and watercolor. I like to experiment with different styles and mediums.

My iPad doodle of the shipyard cranes. Near where I grew up in Belfast. I managed to get to the top of one whilst a young boy. Some view over Belfast.

This is from one of my older sketchbooks. I used salt on the red watercolor paint while it was still wet to get the textured background effect.

I saw a man outside the library wearing a crown nestled into his cowboy hat. He was speaking swiftly, seemingly to himself, possibly freestyle rapping. Probably crazy. Then I drew some saints and stuff around him. I suspect he could use some assistance, perhaps spiritual.

Sharpie is what I do best :)
