This started as some scribbling with Inktense pencils on large plain drawing paper. Then I was done, I wanted to wet the the drawing to release the "ink," but I found that the paper would not take water without drastic buckling. So, it remains a drawing rather than becoming a painting.

This is an old piece created as part of a series of illustrations for a poetry book entitled "Fruit and Bones" by Elizabeth Zimmers (Yon) back in 2002. Had prints made and just found them again - so I added them to my website ~ which is still a work in progress. Please visit and let me know your thoughts! Next is to add more originals and prints. So I wanted to challenge myself and do some sketching. I went through so many challenges and decided on 2017 inktober list. Mine will be in pencil and will probably be 1 sketch every 2 days. I wanted to continue adding to this one so bad but my 2 days are up!
I wanted to design a character for my story, so I messed around with different designs until I eventually came up with a good character design concept.
