Binge-watched “Bridgerton” last weekend and paid the price for it all day Saturday. The drawing is based on my wife's picture of me on the couch sleeping off my bad decision. HB, 2B Staedtler mechanical pencils on 8.5” x 11” acid-free sketchbook.

Tim was a great model in our figure drawing class. I had him pose for me for other work.

This was a model in a figure drawing class leaning on a black pillow. She had awesome hair.

Some LGBTQ+ members of the community can’t openly love who they want to love, so the bars represent that barrier. The fabric, with all its complex folds and creases represents sensuality, desire and love. Love, in all its forms is a complex thing of beauty.------------- The companion piece to my previous post ‘Ecstasy.’ Agony and Ecstasy were always meant to be a diptych. The issue for me is that there is a two-year gap between the completion of the two - there is a noticeable difference in the the way both were drawn. This is a section of a very large drawing. The entire drawing was a massive doodle that could be used in a children's book one day.

Chandra was a wonderful model who posed for me in North Vancouver years ago.

This is Tim. Tim was shy until he discovered that he was a great model and he was the women's favourite male model for out sessions.

When I lived in Victoria, B.C. I ran a figure drawing session for the local illustrator's society. Often I would head over to other drawing sessions. This is one run by a local gallery.

This is probably a 15 minute sketch, maybe less, done in a drawing session in Victoria, B.C.
