I'm usually bad at portraits or drawing faces in general so I decided to practice a bit more and this was the result of my first serious attempt at a portrait drawing using graphite pencils and black fineliners

Just something random I decided to do giving myself a break from the regular studies. I like the way the background came out as it gives off kind of a weird static or "noise" like from old movie reels lol

Just messing around with charcoal and graphite.

In his seventies, this guy was a great model. Fun to draw. Lots of character.

This is another Stephen Gammell inspired drawing. Done with graphite, charcoal, kneeded eraser and whiteout. It ain't perfect but we gettin there!

This is a section of a larger drawing to be used in a children's book - one day in the future.

Instead of a sketchbook I draw - doodle - on a table top sized sheet of 100lb paper. This allows me to cross-pollinate visual ideas more easily.
