For May 13th, today it's a mermaid's turn.
For this day, I decided to draw one of the Lalas mermaids along with her pet pufferfish who loves to throw water. She's Coral Sea Shells
Finally had a day to sit and scribble, first day in a long time. It's fast and loose, but I like how it turned out, and I had fun! My reference was a toy squirrel; but, I think love and death are a bit more interesting. Done in Photoshop. Honestly I was just sitting w/ friends and asked for a piece of paper. Sketched this w/ a mechanical pencil (ugh) in about 20-30 min. But just showing something fanciful and beautiful in vastness looking above.
