Well this was more fun than i expected... Initially i just wanted to illustrate an Ox that was a bit of a moron. But as we all know the term Oxymoron also showcases irony. And w that i was off & added 15 extra cartoons. See if u can find them. Here's few that i think might b impossible to decipher from my drawing. A Plastic-Glass, a Dodge Ram & a near Miss.
Practicing tone with different levels of pencil pressure I found very difficult to do because it requires an immense amount of patience and my hat is off to all of you who have mastered it. ⁀⊙﹏☉⁀
Binge-watched “Bridgerton” last weekend and paid the price for it all day Saturday. The drawing is based on my wife's picture of me on the couch sleeping off my bad decision. HB, 2B Staedtler mechanical pencils on 8.5” x 11” acid-free sketchbook.
Normally i start w an idea or whim & doodle away trying to capture my thots. On this one i simply scribbled onto a page & then looked hard for shapes, animals, faces & any other unorthodox item. Then i simply added some color. I plan to do more of these mostly as a gr8 exercise for fresh runaway doodles hot off the press!
I've wandered Brechfa forest in Carmarthenshire on several occasions, but have only seen a very small part of what this huge forest has to offer. I'm hoping that once travel restrictions are lifted, I can get back out there and explore more. Pen on sketchbook paper (6"x8")
Jabbit is mainly a status Pokémon, but its special ability, Tick Off, allows it to do damage when using status moves. Yet again, this came from a doodle... then from there, i just couldn't help myself & continued to add more fun & a few extra nutty bonus cartoons. Hence the number 6. A great caricature artist by the name of Al Hirschfield used to add & scribble his daughters' name into each drawing. He then would add a number next to his signature signaling how many times the name 'Nina' would appear. So in a similar way i too have decided to add a number but mine will simply offer a hint for how many extra cartoons i have deliberately added. Can u find them?

Whenever i hear the word 'graphic' on the news, my mind goes to art rather than the abrupt visual they feel needs a warning [Which i guess is a courtesy for some folks who just might not be able to handle such a site & prefer to look away.] Well, luckily, I'm not Pollyanna about this... As a creative, it is nearly impossible to hear that word 'graphic' & not flex my creative muscle & treat it w an alternative visual thot... 24/6! [I take Sundays off.] I was never fortunate enuf to attend college or to study graphic arts. But I actually think that this is a skill & craft of immense talent. To create aesthetic colors & shapes & beauty & what seems like using the most simplistic of techniques yet w the greatest of impact is simply mesmerizing to me. Why that color? Why that shape? & yet... it works!!!! So here is my attempt to simulate such a masterful profession but w a bit of humor.
I only drew Kitty, not the background. Don't ask why I'm so obsessed with DDLC... I do other things too, but DDLC is the main thing that I draw (Especially since I try to base my style off of the Doki Doki art). This didn't turn out as well as some of my other drawings because it's a bit smaller... Ignore those feet, I don't usually draw feet, so I don't have any practice... Anyway, if you have any suggestions or feedback, please let me know! :)

The drawing contrasts what an individual see's and what the general public see's when viewing a particular topic. outside the frame of the glasses everything is plain black and white and has no important information that grabs your attention but inside the frame of the persons glasses there's a personalized idea or version of each person in the corridor. the drawing gives off the idea of seeing the world through another's eyes and using glasses as the medium to display that.
It always amazes me that, for such an icon of cinema, Boris Karloff’s Mummy only ever appears on screen, in his bandages, for just a few seconds; but maybe that’s part of the whole enigma and its longevity, and why perhaps the idea of imagining him in something new felt so appealing.
