Blocked out values and form for a work in progress. I haven't drawn or painted in a while, so critiques are welcome before I dive in further with this. Ultimately, I'm looking to incorporate a quote on meditation with the finished piece.
Hi guys! This is my first attempt at a concept art! I'm doing a course about this and this one is my first project, and i really want to see what the community thinks of it, please do share your thoughts on this! I'm really new to digital painting and painting in general so i know i have a lot to improve.
I asked my husband (who is our Covid-period grocery shopper as I am high risk) to bring home a fruit to draw. He came home with a dragon fruit. For those who don't know this interesting edible, it's from a cactus. There are two species: the Asian species is white inside, the Central American variety is shocking pink (see photo). Great in smoothies or when nicely ripe (as this one was) it's tasty eaten out of the skin with a spoon.

This oil painting was , for me, an explosion of a new freedom I found after finally getting a home nearly 40 years ago, a room with a sink and a bed and a window. I hadn't painted for years, and never without extreme self-consciousness. But years of homelessness changed me and my appreciation of "art". That freedom eludes me these days, that 'ignorant' notion that I can do whatever comes to me. I'd love to get it back. Surely it's in us all. It may be better to paint to be satisfied than to paint to satisfy...
This little illustration was motivated by recent changes I have experienced at work. We've been asked not to eat lunch together- even when socially distanced, due to recent outbreak of Covid 19 in our area. This captures the feel of isolation at work for me. Hope you like it!

The prompt word toward the end of October- ominous. Ravens are known to bring ominous news! I kind of lied when I said there were only 3 versions of the Altitone animatronics. There are technically four, and these were the first two. They're stored in Jester's workshop. Unlike the V3 and V2 animatronics, the first two sets have red cheeks on the side of their faces that pop out, and contain cameras, instead of the cameras being in their mouth. This was changed, of course. Prototype Elizabeth has one of those police lights in their tail. I thought that would look cool. Jester thought so too, I assume, because he implimented it into Elizabeth. I imagine these guys roaming around in Jester's workshop as he works on them, to keep them from locking up, and all. Also, that is a real cupcake. It is molding on the inside. Can't wait for somebody to make THAT mistake. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

Spotted these two squirrels while out walking during spring 2018. The highly entertaining pair were exceptionally easy to photograph. NOTE: I'm working on how to make a better digital image of my artwork. Will get there--sorry for the gray background.
