I started messing about with line and wash. I really enjoyed the speed and looseness of working on this piece. In hindsight, I'm wondering if it would be worth working on a larger, more considered version as there is quite a lot of nice texture that is missing here. My first art of 2021, and the first in about 7 months after feeling blocked since last year. Reference was some random photo of a house on a country lane from when I used to go for long walks in Sussex. I decided to push myself into doing some form of artwork every day. This was the result from day three.
I drew one of my toys, (almost!) every day for a year. They were all done on 6"x6" card stock with alcohol based markers. I researched every one to try and find the company, etc. These are a few of the Disney characters in my collection.
Petite ink doodle of a bunny I saw on my walk this evening. He was peeking over a street curb and I thought he’d be awfully cute taking a peek over a stone wall.
Marker, and colored pencil on paper. My partner bought me some fancy markers that have been really fun to play with. I'm thinking about making this image into a greeting card.
