This piece began as a multi-colored abstract . . . but it was nowhere . . . nothing . . . and had no essence. So, I tried to take it in the direction of a landscape . . . and that was horrible. I gave the entire piece a whitewash using a white acrylic paint pen. And then the idea popped into my head to Doodle over the colored background. The title reflects the fact that the piece only came to life with the addition of the Doodles . . .
I did this one to practice my pencil work and to improve on drawing realism. I used a reference photo from one of my favorite magazines, Inked, I removed the other tattoos on the model except for the beautiful rose tattoo.
My "Sketching for Animators and Illustrators" class started yesterday, which means the start of whiteboard doodlemania. #doodle #fullertoncollege #fullertoncollegeartdepartment #whiteboard #whiteboarddrawing #dryerase #perpective #sketching #marker #paris
Ballpoint pen; This is my version of John Tenniel's Alice, Tweedledee and Tweedledum in ballpoint pen, which is my favorite medium to use when i doodle ;)
Garbage can: I wanted to try out my 'Secret Shoppers' doodle on a soft surface before I tried it on canvas, and I found a garbage can in our garage that worked okay
