Sore wrist makes for slow productivity. This is once again Amar and Augustine. This time in a different setting. When my hubby and I play with these characters we end up sticking them into different settings and situations just to see how they will behave and how their relationship develops under different circumstances.

It's Our Lady of Amercia! It's one of my favorite devotions to Our Blessed Mama in Christ. She called the United States to Purity and a good Family life. The messages also focused on a devotion to the Holy Family (Earthly Trinity) and a focus on the Trinitarian Indwelling (Since the Holy Spirit cannot be separated from the Father and the Son it goes to show that the whole Trinity has a part in our interior life). I made this with watercolor, a touch of white/tan acrylics and a lil black pen dab for the pupils. The piece covers the struggle that the LGBTQ+ community had to face over the last few centuries to get to the point where we are today - and although it isn't perfect yet, a lot of progress has been made. The articles in the background all reflect key moments in this progression including Stonewall. The two male peacocks - evident through their colourful feathers - represent the community as it stands today and is a representative of the progress made.

And here it is: The Transfiguration! in color ^_^ Elijah and Moses with Jesus and the Apostles from left to right: James the Greater, John and Peter. I have his stigmata in gold because we hadn't recieved the wounds yet but this vision is a big revelation and confirmation of His divinity and mission so I put some signs there, but the apostles would not yet understand, but after they would. Matthew 17: 1-9 [1] And after six days Jesus taketh unto him Peter and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart: [2] And he was transfigured before them. And his face did shine as the sun: and his garments became white as snow. [3] And behold there appeared to them Moses and Elias talking with him. [4] And Peter answering, said to Jesus: Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. [5] And as he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him. [6] And the disciples hearing, fell upon their face, and were very much afraid. [7] And Jesus came and touched them: and said to them, Arise, and fear not. The 3rd Luminous Mystery, the Proclamation of the Kingdom, the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus taught many beautiful teachings about the Kingdom of God and how to live a life of virtue and the rewards of such a life. He wants us to fully enter into the Divine Will because he loves us so much and wants to be powerfully present in our lives in order to heal and strengthen us. He loves us and in this mystery we meditate upon his enrapturing and beautiful Word, which is Himself. He gives us His word because he wants to give us Himself. God is too awesome! ^_^ Fiat

I started a new job, and it's leaving no time for daily art :( . I've decided to set aside a couple hours each week, though. Last night I did a drop in to an online portrait class, and I really liked the result of one of the warmups. Maybe all efforts should be 10 min!

Ok made the 2nd Mystery of the Mysteries of Light: The Wedding of Cana. Also an important revelation and the prime miracle that started Jesus' "hour". I definately spent much more time on the Baptism because of it's important icon significance but I found some good lil inspiration for this too, a bit more simple but nice. ^_^ Oh and if you don't know the story: John Chapter 2 1 And the third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 And Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And the wine failing, the mother of Jesus saith to him: They have no wine. 4 And Jesus saith to her: Woman, what is that to me and to thee? my hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith to the waiters: Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye. 6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three measures apiece. 7 Jesus saith to them: Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And Jesus saith to them: Draw out now, and carry to the chief steward of the feast. And they carried it. 9 And when the chief steward had tasted the water made wine, and knew not whence it was, but the waiters knew who had drawn the water; the chief steward calleth the bridegroom, 10 And saith to him: Every man at first setteth forth good wine, and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse.
