I want to share it with everyone! “What’s this with the Seuss-Escher Lovechilde?” When I was a little one - Dr. Seuss was a staple in our household. I loved all the bright colors, stripes, and checkerboards. When I was in 5th grade, I walked into an all M.C. Escher shop and was completely gobsmacked. I begged my mom for a calendar and spent many hours staring at his ambiguous perspectives and impossible promenades. Now, as an adult these two influences are unmistakable in my work. I get giddy when the two most common comments I receive about my work are that it reminds people of either Dr. Seuss or M.C. Escher, or both. One day upon seeing my work for the first time, a rather clever friend said “Hey, it’s like you’re the Seuss-Escher Lovechilde!” I’ve been repeating it ever since. skyelucking.com facebook.com
