I went to Florida and kept a chronicle of my adventures! This is part 1 of 3, in which my husband comes down with Lyme disease and I go to Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom. So cool... love the description. How was Animal Kingdom? Is the new Avatar area cool?

@arthurkoestler The new Avatar area is beyond belief. It's got these huge, floating island areas that defy gravity or even basic structural engineering. I have no idea how they made it. At night, there are all of these glowing mushroomlike structures, and all of the streetlights are flowers. We didn't go on any of the rides, because the lines were super-long; we just walked around and enjoyed simply being in there.
