Maia, one of two current German Shepherds was born here at our house ten years ago. She is a grand old lady with a big ears, a big ruff and a sweet personality. This drawing was done from a photo reference AND her sleeping at my feet. I used Pigma Micron Pens in black and brown with a little graphite smudging to add a bit of shadow.

@SedonaEquineArt Yes, I agree. LOVE GSD's---have had ten in my life (2 now). My DH and I used to train and handle Wilderness Search and Rescue dogs---so smart and loyal.

@AnneLotz She is a lovely girl, indeed. Thank you for the kind words about my drawing, too. She is still top dog around here at eleven and a half years old....fairly elderly for a German Shepherd.
