Static

Image Art by @mapalomar

Here's something I drew in 10 minutes this morning. I was on call waiting for work to start and my anxiety went through the roof. Not sure why, but it did. My friend asked me if this sketch was a sound, what would it be? I said static. That's what things feel like most of the time: all-consuming, loud, abrasive static.

@Mels Thank you! I usually try to put my earbuds in (I know it sounds odd, but harsh music sometimes helps to snap me out of a panic state). More recently, it's stopped working, and sometimes even removing myself from the situation doesn't work. Not sure what exactly is going on though. This week I've felt better, but my anxiety comes in waves...and for no reason most of the time.

@Mels True, and yes, drawing usually. I use it as a release too....I haven't really drawn in a bit, if that makes sense, so I should definitely do that

I second that you are very talented. Besides drawing well you convey emotion so well. It's a help to others of us that recognize that feeling in our own eyes.

@JGale @Mels Thank you very much! That truly means a lot to me.
