A very good figure/portrait. Reminds me of Lucian Michael Freud's work. The late great british atiist. He protrayed people as they look in reality, like Duncan Weller work above.
Thanks for the comparison. Before I heard of Freud I was influenced by Frederick Varley, a Canadian artists with a similar rich style, but with a bit more colour than Freud.
I read about the Group of Seven and Frederick Varley. Before he joined them he was a war artist during WW1. His war art is quite impressive. Some of his war art is similare in style to Edvard Munch's work.
In art circles in Canada, (I'm guessing you're Canadian), the Group of 7 are considered just too old fashioned, but the public still loves their work. I do too. They style is sort of universal.
A friend's children painted a canvas I gave them and I painted them into it. The fun messy doodle background is 90% theirs. I added a few streams to pop out some of the shapes they painted. I might do this as a series.

This is a stream of consciousness drawing. Turned out okay.

This is a quick sketch I did of a shirtless man on a bus.
