You mentioned "Why you so difficult!!"... Do you know what are your difficulties? Is it knowledge where to place? Is it knowledge how to place? Or you know what you want to do, but execution is difficult?
@Neuromancer I guess I am trying to go for an illustration type look, usually what you see in comic books but the lines just are not coming out the way I want them to. I think I am not curving them enough with the object or something. If the link shows up this is kind of what I am going for in my drawings. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/1a/f5/dd/1af5dd38c0c6734b08f9e07c98b46f87.jpg
I often use white out on what seems to be an incorrect line--to see if the drawing becomes better. I also use tracing paper...not to trace exactly--but to use the form of the original drawing for the general idea. Another approach I take is to pencil first, ink (permanent) afterwards--let ink dry--erase pencil lines as needed.
But I like your drawing the way it is...it is illustrative, fresh, one shot. Nice.
@Rayedrgn "I think I am not curving them enough with the object"... If you want to follow up that trace, I recommend you to draw your ice cream or any object of your choice with full "Cross Contour Lines". Cross Hatching Lines for illustrating "Form Shadow" are always going along the "Cross Contour Lines". Also with cross contour Lines it's easier to trick your mind to believe your 2D painting is 3D and therefore your shadow hatching will "curve much easier in the right flow".
@natoutdoor Thank you so much for all the advice it is a big help! I also appreciate your opinion as it is difficult to see from another persons perspective on your own artwork sometimes. (◕ᴗ◕✿) Also, I have tried the white out a few times with other work but I am kind of messy with it, also it tends to show up when I try to take a picture of my artwork to upload.
@Neuromancer Yea, for whatever reason my lines keep coming out very straight and I find it very difficult to curve them to object. Maybe it is just something that I need to practice with. Thank you so much for all your help! (◕▿◕✿)
