I call what I do "skav art" which is firmly rooted in its doodling origins. It's really a form of finished thumbnail sketching, drawn on anything below the size of A5 using just one single medium like a pen or a pencil. It does away with any further artistic processes, concentrating more on that initial raw idea.

(Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) "HumanAI" meaning taking the role of a basic AI and drawing a picture from a prompt, but not getting the result intended. From the image, you might be able to guess what was requested ;P

(0.5 pen on 160mm x 125mm paper) This was a piece I recently did to mark my entrance into the mad world of NFTs after I created an account on OpenSea and uploaded work on there. (Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) It is finished, even if it doesn't look like it. It reflects those old peanut display cards of the 1970s and 80s which were like a peanut strip-tease as the snacks were bought and more of the image was revealed. It's also a comment on the endless WIPs that some upload on social media which are like a form of "peanuts" in themselves.

(HB pencil on 115mm x 80mm paper) A dreamscape (automatic drawing) piece which looks to depict a character dropping off to sleep, surrounded by his own dream construct.

(Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) My opinion of the whole Inktober challenge. There's something to be said for the rebellious nature of drawing a simple cock and balls!

(2B Pencil on A5 Paper) I did this one as part of a fictional challenge where every prompt-word of the month was "arse" but made it part of Inktober.

(Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) The second of five small drawings which are meant to show what happens when an artist gets bored of a subject. You draw something halfheartedly and think "That'll do!" XD

(Gel fineliner on A5 paper) A weird piece of dark art for the second day of the Inktober challenge. I've not bothered with the prompt words, much preferring to go "vanilla" with it.

(0.18 Technical Pen on 130mm x 35mm card) I did these with a tech pen I was cleaning, deciding to make use of the ink that was diluted within it. The pieces of card were off-cuts, so I was making the best of everything there. They're not too bad for what they are and make decent enough bookmarks.

(Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) A simple picture of a house walking on legs, but it turned out well enough :)

"BUTTCHEEKS" The top bookmark is the genuine "Skav Art" piece which was done with a 0.18 technical pen on 110mm x 30mm off-cut card. The one below (the "bottom" one - Heheh!) was a deliberate copy I made of the first and, even though it looks neater, proved to me that those dreaded "processes" do start to creep in. The differences are slight, but they are there. Such processes can mount the further you go with them, until they totally erode the creative energy you originally had. So, it was good to do, even if it does mean I've now got two artworks with the same title!

(Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) “Wait...Did you just call me Phil? I'm a multi-dimensional higher being, you ignorant little tit! You don't just call someone like me PHIL! I was about to share the fruits of my knowledge with your species, ushering in a new age which would have been a significant step in human evolution, but now you can all PISS RIGHT OFF! You humans deserve to wipe yourselves out!” (It is widely believed that humanity constantly subdues itself with lazy misunderstandings like this.)

(Gel Fineliner on A5 paper) One of the age-old responses from dog-owners: “He won't bite you” along with “He's good with children.” He's a dog, and like all dogs, they're bred from wolves. Given half the chance they'd revert back to their natural pack instinct. The only reason they don't is that they see you as the pack leader who regularly feeds and pampers them. “Oh, my little darling isn't like that!” I hear you say, as if you're talking about a child. “He gives me kisses by licking my face. It's his way of saying how much he loves me.” He licks his balls and arsehole with that tongue, so what's he really saying there?

(Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) The fifth, and last, of these small CBA images, and even an artist can find better things to do when they get bored of doing artwork, but don't worry, they always return to it.

(Gel fineliner on A5 paper) This is a preview drawing before the Inktober2024 challenge starts. Not something I usually take part in, as I don't really need to, but I thought I'd have a bit of fun with it this year.
