Maria Ionescu specializes in creating acrylic black and white plant paintings that pop out against their soothing solid-colored backdrops. They're so cute, minimalistic and contain a modest (but perfect) amount of detail in the leaves, created using chinese ink. "I am one of those people who loves nature but is unable to keep any plants alive, so I decided to draw them...they fill the empty spaces of life and color of the homes/ offices and best of all, they do not need water, nor light, nor that you talk to them." I couldn't help but chuckle when I read that because it's extremely relatable. If you're like me and guilty of killing a plant or two...or twelve...consider doodling them instead!
