This sketchbook spread features a stylized pattern of colorful poppy flowers. The garden of flowers includes leaves of green, yellow and peach. The flowers are yellow with blue stems. The drawing as a whole has a whimsical and playful feel with a bright color scheme, polka dots and organic squiggle shapes, and blobs of seemingly random colors. Inktober Day 6 GOLDEN This is the golden hour time for the east coast where I live.

Work in progress.

This bird gets a lot of attention at my mom's house! He deserves a portrait. Brush pen (love it!), watercolor.

My first time using cut paper, to add the branch. I think the chameleon is more comfortable now.

My son and I were blowing bubbles in liquid watercolors with dish soap, then putting the bubbles on the paper. I took a pen to some of mine, and these little guys appeared.

Looking for shapes in the bottle, and I found my reflection - twice! A perfect metaphor for this whole process.

Micron pens. I wonder if I took it too far, but there were so many fronds!
