Richard Koehler Hello, my name is Richard Koehler,
and I'm a doodle addict.
Frisco, Texas

I am a graphic designer by day but still feel the need to be creative so I paint, sketch or do quick doodles in pen and ink in my spare time. It's an exercise more to just let go, relax and just enjoy the the process and let the happy accidents happen. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my work, good or critical. Thanks for looking.

Smore Tales around the Campfire

It's National Toasted Marshmallow Day so this painting seems fitting. What do you think will happen to this guy? About 14 x 14 inches, acrylic on wood board. Sorry not the best photograph.

The Grizzly Guide

A little 4x6 painting study to start the day off. “The Grizzly Guide” gives these ‘Mallows a ride through the creepy forest in the dead of night. Check out the time lapse video on my Instagram page.

A friend commissioned me to redraw a small inktober doodle into a 11x17 version. Pen and ink with black watercolor. Does my larger version still have the same lighthearted feel as the original doodle?
