This came about from a doodle. Doodling is a combination of skilled scribbling, mindless direction & abstract tracing. Doodling [For Me] is not sketching someone's portrait or rendering a photo. It's freely skating w a pencil or pen along a drawing surface & searching for discoveries & different unusual paths that some how result in some lovely surprises. So here ye go. I want to be inside the raindrop. I want know it. Feel it. Be it. Close containment. Single purpose One direction. The rush. The thrill. Careening towards the earth. Would be a death race. But the fall is the journey. The crash. The release. Is just the beginning.
My first attempt at an abstract painting. It was the first time I tried using palette knives also. I didn't really have an idea in mind for this, I just kinda went with it. Came out pretty cool looking, almost like an abstract nebula. I used iridescent and interference Golden acrylic paints

This sketchbook is all about triangle patterns! Each page starts with a base layer of connecting triangles. From there, I fill in different patterns on each page, challenging myself to come up with new ideas for each page.
