My husband got me the Copic 24 color manga illustrator set for Christmas. I wanted to draw a magical girl, but didn’t want to do a traditional one. So I thought of a sporty girl who hates dresses turning into a magical girl.
Various days for Inktober 2020. Coral, dizzy, and rip and dig. I had fun detailing different monsters. Dizzy is a cross between a siren and wraith, rip and dig can survive in extreme climates and hide underground for years until it's time to Fred. Some believe in a peaceful resolution, but others believe they're superior than others. One in particular believes in this. He is tired of the enslavement of the dragons and now wants to rise up and rule them all.
It's just a cute persona of me. My art style is very cutesy and anime ish, but I do like it. I am always trying to improve. I'm gonna try posting stuff often. Probably. Heh.
Saw Into the Spiderverse (finally) and was stunned by their animation and art style. Figured I'd try my best to imitate it and learn how they do it. Also, Spider-Gwen? There is literally no downside to trying this work.
I'm actually really proud of this one, especially for the feather. I had made almost every individual line using the Flat Brush in FireAlpaca (10/10 would recommend) but it was fun putting all my effort into one piece.
This piece was commissioned by a coworker. It was a very large piece at 24"by26" on green leather. I used an acrylic base and then completely covered that with oils. It becomes very dusty when dried so I added many layers of a spray varnish for oils on top. The color remained nice and vibrant.
