This was my first time using scratch paper and I love it

She saw something in the darkness... something magnificent and horrific.

Watercolor of a bunch of grapes after a botanical sketch by the artist Troncy. This painting was made with gouache on cardboard 400 gr / m² with a height of 32 cm and a width of 24 cm.

This was a transitional piece as I enlarged/zoomed out the 'mass' of the doodle towards the edge of the paper. This was one of the last pieces of abstracts before my figures surfaced from the compositions.

Found this quote a few days back, and it really resonated with me. The message is clear that we really shouldn't wait for the "perfect moment" or spend too much time looking for the "easy way" as neither of these options truly exist, they are in effect excuses for not getting on and doing what needs to be done. in order to achieve our goals. If we are honest with ourselves "now" is always the best time, and doing rather than thinking about doing is the way forward. This is a mixed media artwork as the drawing of the girl has been reworked in Photoshop along with the wording and torn paper effect all being digital. Many thanks for looking !

Some portrait of a friend on kind of rough paper. I like the outcome so far. Not really realistic, but kind of some smudgy style. Maybe just grainy :|

Another piece from my vernal pools/treescapes studies I have been working on in correlation to my interest in local creature found in our woodlands. I adopted the use of a circle one night, wanting to frame out an idea/sketch and a wine glass happened to be close by. Since then I have used it often, loving the circle aspect.

The only line added consciously is the hand. It leads the eye to the eye and thereby showing the viewers that it is in fact a figure. The shape on the right feels kind of right to be there, it really does not matter what it is. Compositional-wise , it works.
