Based on a photograph of a hibiscus flower enjoying its last day in the garden before being brought back home before the Canadian fall and winter. I imported the photo in Procreate and the rest is history.

A predator reduced to bone but not to silence. The body is gone, yet the motion remains — jaw open, spine curved, still moving through water that no longer needs flesh to carry it. This is not a fossil resting in sand; it is a hunter that never learned how to stop. The ocean keeps its shape alive. Instinct outlasts life. Some creatures don’t die — they continue.

An idea sitting around in my head for some time. It came out today as a sketch, but I still feel that I am not ready to draw this for real. Next time, maybe.

"Nowhere Fast" is a compelling still life that blends mundane domesticity with surreal, slightly ominous undertones. Soo...This was actually supposed to be alot more happier and brighter. But I accidentally made a mistake with her face, and since I was using a pen, I couldn't fix it...so I decided to go with it fully and make the background behind her dark as well to fit the mood. I'm still happy with how it came out :) it's just...way different then how I planned it in my head.
