These are watercolor and pencil and ink drawings. They are 5 of 10 images of my hand from a child's board book from which I peeled the laminated pages and exposed the underlying cardboard. I have always struggled with a very large Port Wine Stain birthmark, and periodically make art about that, this one of two books this year.

Aliens seeking company and respite...

Graphite and digital

Romantic birds and their narwhal pals.

New sketchbook time! Onwards to new doodling-flavoured adventures... Keeping it simple to start things off (as is custom).

And that finishes things off with my current sketchbook! Here's to what the next one brings :)

Acrylic on vintage cabinet door

Keeping one's head above the water in times of crisis...

Cats, space, and the usuals.

Aaaaaaaaaand, September is here. Let's make this autumn a creative one...

” Please allow me to introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste I've been around for a long, long year Stole many a man's soul to waste ” I have had an idea for a long time to illustrate Sympathy for the Devil from Rolling Stones. This start from free sketching of cloud looking lines and soon i realise they look like atom bomb cloud. Original idea was more landscape version but maybe later.

Time and space adventurings.

The devil sees something beautiful for the first time.

This alien decided to avoid humans on its trip to earth.

Something about mermaids today! Got to love those fishy tailed sorts. :)

Rainy day assemblages.

Please accept these flowers.

Another episode of narwhal fever.

Monster meets a flower for the first time.

Definitely in need of an escape, methinks.

I've been going through a kick lately and "finding" art in watercolor blobs.

Island mentality.

Onwards to closure.

Graphite and iron oxide recovered from acid mine runoff on watercolor paper

Kicking art blocks where it hurts, one step at a time.

Something simpler (on the surface at least).

I listen to music when I draw and, even though he's not "cool" anymore, I still like Jack Johnson a lot. This song came on and I started the letters.
