Ugh, it's been a long time since I've painted the good old Jiao... Come on, admit it, who didn't do their homework and made the teacher angry??>:( Oh yeah... An experimental palette! I don't even know if I like it or not
Two charms! I love books about Moomins. And these two are very interesting characters! I really like their story. I drew this art about a week ago. It is based on one of the illustrations of the book by Tove Jansson
Beginning of acrylic while tuned in live to https://www.mixcloud.com/djtruebrit-otb/. I love how it evolved as the soundwaves flowed through. More to come... XO Tethered2This
Mymble's daughter! I like her so much X0 I don't want to litter everything with a large text here, so I'll tell you about it either in my shitpost, or to someone who will be interested in the character like me:) I'm happy with result! I didn't sweat for nothing. What do you think?:3
Aka Seraphina H. I redrew her the most. Out of all the variations I love this one the most tho it won't be her final look. I struggle with the face and fitting it into the body. Her outfit doesn't suit her because she borrowed it from a family member for a costume party.
Personality and Birthday quizzes helped me out a lot to define his characteristics I wasn't able to flesh out alone. I messed with other brushes and several YouTube tutorials to redo this concept. This isn't the final form he takes, but he looks like this at the story's start.
"BUTTCHEEKS" The top bookmark is the genuine "Skav Art" piece which was done with a 0.18 technical pen on 110mm x 30mm off-cut card. The one below (the "bottom" one - Heheh!) was a deliberate copy I made of the first and, even though it looks neater, proved to me that those dreaded "processes" do start to creep in. The differences are slight, but they are there. Such processes can mount the further you go with them, until they totally erode the creative energy you originally had. So, it was good to do, even if it does mean I've now got two artworks with the same title!
Making original characters is fun. This outfit was made up of weathered clothing and recycled material for a nuclear apocalypse and dangerous desert life. It doesn't look like it'll fit hot climates tho
I can't say I love this pic. However, I made it to test the workflow of a project I've been working on, basically aimed at making it easy and fast to take ideas from rough sketch or storyboard to web-published layouts. To test my latest features, I did a 20 min pencil and pen sketch on brown pulp paper, took a quick, poorly lit photo of it with my phone, opened the file in Mac Photos, exported a full sized, full-res PNG, did various edits in Krita, exported many sizes and compression levels to my web directory, and mucked around with my front-end code. One aim of this drawing was to experiment with separating line art from colors and store these as separate files, the line art at high resolution and the colors at very low resolution. So far, it's working nicely.
