This painting/ drawing is started in the Abstract with forms created organically. I used Acrylics and applied them liberally as you might use in watercolor techniques. I love challenging myself to create in this form, as I do in finding the figures which may form themselves in the process. I then detail the figures in a drawing style to enhance and bring it forward. (Black biro on a 139mm x 89mm postcard). Another dreamscape piece that uses automatic drawing techniques to produce random imagery. I was going to call this one "bloodlines" due to the shaded central areas which developed, but the lettering in the bottom-left corner began to take shape and so I highlighted them and used them as the title.
It’s Good to be King, if just for a while. I draw in my notes for work every day. It helps me digest the things that are said in meetings. In the case, it simply divided one topic from another. I color in the drawings later or the next day, which helps me recall my notes and it is peaceful.
He’s not about wondering whether or not he’ll be surrounded when the sun rises, for there’s no moment but this very one. The world is his audience and he decided to sing for it in style every single day.
