I just discovered Chartpak markers and am in love; they are truly awesome to work with. The colors are so rich and never streaky. So if you didn't guess, this was done using Chartpaks and a Gelly Roll Glaze Black pen.
This is my first attempt at traditional egg tempera painting. The panel is a Masonite board from Michaels, but I need to use true gesso because the egg tempera will not adhere to acrylic gesso. Some of my favorite artists used egg tempera. Andrew Wyeth, Robert Vickrey, and Colin Fraser are all masters of this ancient and archival medium. I have been self studying this technique for months and I was very excited to start experiencing the medium. Egg tempera is like layering stained glass on top of stained glass. the painter can expect a luminous glow to take shape as the colors blend visually through the layers of paint - assisted by the chalk of the true gesso. Egg tempera has been described as the closest painting technique to drawing, hence my draw to this medium.

Bee populations are rapidly declining around the world and there are many reasons to save the bees, but here are three of the most important:
1. Bees play a crucial role in our ecosystem. They help pollinate plants, which is necessary for us and other animals to survive. If there were no bees, we would lose many types of fruits and vegetables.
2. Bees also play an important role in our economy. Honey is a popular sweetener, and bee pollen is used as a dietary supplement. There are also many products that use beeswax as an ingredient. All of these products would be more expensive without the work of bees.
3. Finally, it’s simply important to protect all forms of life on Earth. We need to do everything we can to make sure that future generations will be able to enjoy nature’s beauty and bounty just as much as we do today.

When the world is full of noise and impetuous, you can try to sink your heart into the deep sea. There is silence, you are willing to talk about your story, then there will be someone willing to listen.
I went back and fixed this one up. I added a collage background using scrapbook paper tweaked some minor things. Its still not perfect but I'm just now entering the intermediate level of mixed media and whimsical art. Canson paper, acrylic matte paints, and watercolor used.
I realised how a lot of my human work was not very diversified. So I decided to practice drawing my OC S4V4N7 in their human form. I believe that they would definitely be a POC. S4V4N7 as an African-American Male.
Various days for Inktober 2020. Coral, dizzy, and rip and dig. I had fun detailing different monsters. Dizzy is a cross between a siren and wraith, rip and dig can survive in extreme climates and hide underground for years until it's time to Fred. Concept idea for an upcoming canvas, but I’m not sure if it’ll stay like this. My days have had me wondering why certain problems exist, how we could solve them and how we can prevent in the future. This particular work will be focused on racism, and I’m very excited about the amount of research I want to do. I’ve been very angry and feeling powerless lately about this subject, and I’ll hope I’ll feel more useful after this project
