As a child of the 70s, I have very fond memories of sitting on the floor in front of our little colour TV, and watching and adoring Lynda Carter bounce around, kicking ass and fighting crime. I’ve always loved Wonder Woman, and I'm fascinated by the myriad ways she’s been imagined and re-imagined over the years. For mine I focused on her dualism – the goddess beauty vs warrior strength, combined with the colour and curves of my childhood. In terms of the art, I thought it would be fun to allude to classicism for the subjects association with Greek mythology and form, and balletic contrapposto as a homage to Lynda's classic spin. I started a project of hunt illustrations, where things in the image need to be found. In this, the objects were: Lost iPhone, murder weapon, portal to another world, glass half empty and banana. (This is the pre-digital illustration which I don’t usually share but felt like a change!)

Extremely useful around the house, but doomed to constant despair, the Kitchenware Octopus loves to cook but has no free hands for carrying groceries. The last of her kind, she yearns for a mate to lovingly entangle ladles with, but has yet to meet anyone willing to risk constant proximity to the cheese grater.

I've been experimenting with colour pallets and line width. Also trying to do LESS - my natural tendency is to add everything so cutting back is quite hard, but I think works better.

I’be been sketching my toy cars and trying to imagine how plants might interact with them

It's a fairy! Lol, well a Pink Fairy Armadillo. This is extremetly rare and the smallest armadillo in the world. They live in Argentina. I made mine in kind of a cartoonish way but it isn't too far off on how they actually look. Huge front claws for swimming through sand and it's furry and whatnot. If this were a Pokemon it would be a Ground/Fairy type of course. lol I made the sparkles n stuff to show how it's fairy type. haha anyways :P
