Starting next week, I'm going back to college. I'm very excited for my courses, especially art & writing. It will be a great opportunity to explore my curiosities, improve my art skills, and grow as a person. I will share my art assignments if my instructors allow it. I would also like to write a little about each piece, which may be required for my assignments anyway.
Lately, I've been inspired by fantasy & fairytale artwork. I think fantasy & horror will make good focuses for my pre-BFA portfolio. This was a little experiment with a fairytale aesthetic. One of my goals is to use limited art supply sets & swap out colours as they run out. I feel the first colours I picked out fit with aesthetic well.
I'm proud of this drawing, especially the dress & the night sky. However, I can see some areas that I should've done differently. I'm not happy with the proportions & foreshortening of the limbs. Also, I shouldn't have used a background colour for the flowers. I added the colour to cover up a smear from the watercolour. I should avoid making large areas of solid colour, especially with my coloured pencils. I am learning & improving.

Finished the color! I feel I rushed it a little bit, but i'm reasonably happy with the finished product. If I tried to perfect it, I'd never get it done >_<
I've added some new background details, some new peeps and edited the dialogue a lil' bit. I feel very strongly that an immersive world is part of good storytelling, so I try and sneak details in wherever I can, such as the graffiti in the second panel.
I am, in fact, unsatisfied with that graffiti. It's not magical enough. what does magical graffiti look like, I wonder? Do you guys have any ideas?
A very rough sketch of my Ingellvar (I' not happy with it). I'll take this opportunity to talk about my headcanons:
Her name is Isida (once it was Isseya, but I renamed her).
She's an introvert. So leading a whole team to save the world is hard for her than for my other planned Rooks.
Her eye was damaged in a fight with Baron Van Markham, which really hurt her as an archer. Luckily, Varric taught her some tricks and gave her a second wind. She's back in action.
I don't know if it's mentioned in the game, but for now I'm headcanoning that she got the name Rook from Varric, who became like a father to her. So she prefers to be called Rook than Isida Ingellvar.
Sometimes she yearns for her elven roots, but still prefers Nevarra and Necropolis.
Hopefully, she will get me back into art.

I'm going to do a series of comics revolving around this character, Carlyle! She's such a an arrogant little diva, and I love her. I'm just doing this to test the waters and get used to writing comics. Not sure how serious I'm going to be with it, but hopefully I'll have fun along the way : )
Following a natural disaster overseas I came across a Facebook fundraiser claiming to send aid directly to families affected by the crisis. The images were heartbreaking: children huddled in temporary shelters, families sifting through rubble and the organizer posted daily updates about their so-called relief work. Feeling a strong urge to help I decided to donate $18,000 in cryptocurrency confident that it would make a real difference for those suffering. The updates initially seemed genuine with detailed descriptions of supplies being purchased and distributed. For a time I felt reassured that my contribution was actually reaching those in need and I thanked myself for trusting a platform where people could supposedly make a difference.However after a few weeks the page suddenly disappeared. Confused and alarmed I tried to track down the organizer but all contact information had vanished. It was then that I discovered the horrifying truth. The photos used in the fundraiser had been stolen from news sites and there had never been any relief operation. I felt an overwhelming sense of betrayal, anger and disbelief. Not only had I been scammed but my trust in online giving something I had always valued was deeply shaken. I began wondering if I would ever see the $18,000 again.Determined to recover the funds I reached out to Salvage Asset Recovery. From the moment I contacted them the team at Salvage Asset Recovery sprang into action conducting a meticulous investigation. Salvage Asset Recovery traced the cryptocurrency wallet I had sent my donation to and discovered that it had received hundreds of similar payments from other unsuspecting donors.
