A far cry from how I usually draw. The lineart is messy and I colored sloppily, with the watercolor brush. This guy is the first out of three paint moster generations --- yes, this guy is made of white paint. The mahogany lines aren't blood, but rather mahogany paint. I may or may not post the later generations of Geoff (the name of three paint mosters, all related, all from different generations). Drawn with FIreAlpaca.
So...I didn't feel like doing face shading today and this is how I avoided it. I actually kinda like it! Sort of giving me Harley Quinn vibes. Always open to feedback!
I got to drop into an outdoor class with my beloved teacher from the studio. A space had finally opened up two weeks before everything in SF shut down again. Well, it was good to see her and my fellow students and be in that setting on a beautiful sunny day. I was also negotiating my next job salary and getting phone calls during class, so I wasn't entirely present. The class topic for the day was palm trees. This is in front of the De Young, another place I was so glad to have visited indoors on another afternoon before the latest lock down.
An animatronic I made in Minecraft --- I know it sounds a little cringe, but I constantly build pizzerias, add armor stands to act as animatronics, and make a FNaF map. I'd then invite friends and have them sit in the office, while I move the armor stands. This animatronic is named "Dijon", sort of like the mustard. I only drew Dijon, but there's another animatronic, "Dijona", who has a lighter suit color. These guys are sort of like the Fredbear and Spring bonnie of the pizzerias I've made. Soft Pastel. My studio is in a converted church with big GotHic windows. In the morning the sunlight streams in createing beautiful shapes on the studio furniture rolls of paper and general studio detritus.
I’m disappointed or broken my heart because of that sometimes. But that’s why the world is colorful and beautiful. So I’ll leave things I can’t understand and just love what i love and who I love.
