Butterfly # ?? : The Swallowtail this was hard! Firstly trying to illustrate a swallowtail without decapitating a poor swallow... then trying to fit these two together. More paint splatter effect for a bit of zing

butterfly #4: The Clouded Yellow. The hardest part here is the background! It would be too easy just to paint a cloud...I have about 5-6 different backgrounds, but only uploading one here is my fav of the bunch

My work is inspired by the beautiful summer flowers around me .just live the way the grow and withstand the everyday life

The piece covers the struggle that the LGBTQ+ community had to face over the last few centuries to get to the point where we are today - and although it isn't perfect yet, a lot of progress has been made. The articles in the background all reflect key moments in this progression including Stonewall. The two male peacocks - evident through their colourful feathers - represent the community as it stands today and is a representative of the progress made.

Using newspaper print paper and crayons to create this lovely pattern of bricks and London street rubbings. Try it!
