I initially wanted to draw a mandala but after outlining the big circles, I thought "why not add some texture?" and there you go. Experimenting with different shapes and shades always pays off.
I used Batarang shapes to make the mouth and hair and eyes. Let me know what you think, or just don't. but, hey, sometimes negative feedback is the only fuel i need for my fires.

Four quick self-portraits, also show-casing my quarantine haircut. I did them yesterday as a part of Leith of School of Art’s Wake up and Draw challenge. The instructions were to do Van Gogh style drawings using the short very lively lines he is renowned for. The main image was 15 minutes on A3, the other three 5 mins each on A4. The images are in ascending order, so the first one should be at the bottom and the last one as the featured image.
One of my favorite Mammals, the Pangolin. Like a mix between an Armadillo and an Anteater with a prehensile tail. Yes, they do actually exist. :P (it's done in pencil, and I just added a green filter to it to liven it up)

This is an old piece created as part of a series of illustrations for a poetry book entitled "Fruit and Bones" by Elizabeth Zimmers (Yon) back in 2002. A concept for a 19th-century survey vessel that will be the setting for a comic. Has both steam power and auxiliary sails, of course! The bubble in the middle is a weather balloon that can be deployed from midships.
