Part of a personal project I'm working on right now, to experiment with unfamiliar art styles and practice lettering skills by drawing animals. I enjoyed this foray into digital mosaic (or fauxsaic as I've seen it called).

I'm finally finished with drawing Morrison again (this time more better than before) and I must say I'm actually pleased with it considering he's hard to draw.speedpaint:

The Super Bloom is still going in SoCal! On the trail are poppies, daisies, alyssum and now the mustard grass is in bloom. My process was an iPhone photo, then a drawing with color and then collage in Photoshop.
The Middle American killifish genus Profundulus occurs in most Pacific and Atlantic drainages from the Mexican state of Guerrero to the Chamelecón River in Honduras, with highest species diversity in southern Mexico. Digital painting. Genus Profundulus: P. parentiae (top), P. mixtlanensis (blue predator), P. oaxacae (mostly dark spots) y P. balsanus (below). I had to learn so many new things today just to get this done. It's a simple comic but the digital process is very different from what I'm used to. I love comics and I'm finally making my own.
I just finished this for a friend. He is in construction and it seems like we're always talking philosophy and where we fit in the universe whenever we're working on a project together.
Abstracted lionfish, as part of a project where I'm drawing animals using different art styles/techniques each time. Made with digital watercolor brushes.
He dies with the honor of his ancestors, among the trees, not strung up on a dead one like his brothers or forced to work like a slave as his sisters. He dies a proud alf. His are the kin of the trees. The others that live on in the cities are traitors! Their blood is poison now. He takes as many knights as he can. Tonight the Elvin folks perish. And so ... Goodknight
