My favorite time of year is almost here. The cool breezy air, the colors and smells. The sounds of the last crickets, the mood of the sky. I could go on and on. This was A fun piece to work on. What will the next challenge bring?

This sketchbook spread features a stylized pattern of colorful poppy flowers. The garden of flowers includes leaves of green, yellow and peach. The flowers are yellow with blue stems. The drawing as a whole has a whimsical and playful feel with a bright color scheme, polka dots and organic squiggle shapes, and blobs of seemingly random colors. (2B pencil on a 198mm x 124mm book title page) Profanity is a common form of blasphemy. Here, I've used it in a similar way as you'd see fonts used in the old Letraset catalogues. Plus, nobody says "fadge" anymore, and that used to be a good swear-word.
