my first *official* painting titled "Winter Solace". I painted this one of my OC when I was feeling down. We all know how it feels during the winter months... dark, gloomy, and a good portion of us suffer from seasonal depression. But sometimes, we just have to take it in and be thankful for how far we've come, and how much we have yet to experience. I painted this to remind myself and others that there's always the calm after the storm, no matter how intense your storm may be. It's okay to not be okay.
My mum and i call him morise. (His real name is moritz). he made us delicious tea and coffee in his artstudio. we talked, painted and i drew alot at his place. he turned into family. when i heard that he passed away, i couldnt pick up a paintingbrush, acrylics or watercolours because it reminded me so much of him. now, for this drawing i started to experiment with watercolours again and added it in the drawing. honestly, i cried during the process of painting but i am proud that i dared to use it. i enjoyed to experiment.

This study of a piano was done for a woman who was a missionary with her husband. They served in a Christian ministry that reached out to military personal and their families, through the teaching of the Holy Bible and showing hospitality. They have been missionaries most of their lives. I met them while i was a summer missionary the year I was in college. I went back two more summer to help , and they became my friends. The woman is a gifted piano player, so I was asked if i could do an illustration of her piano for her. This couple have inspired me through their dedication of using their lives to serve God through serving others, that many may know God through the teaching, and living out the Word before others.
I made a mess! And it makes me happy! Because I finally 'did' something after what seems like a too-long period of very little art. This is a 'no pressure' piece, playing with shapes, colours, just making marks, doodles, and just allowing things to emerge. Brilliantly therapeutic.

I am also quite interested in the theme of fairy because it helps me recall memories of my childhood. When I was a child, I watched cartoon fairy tales. 40th birthday present from my wife- our little family. Our hand painted wooden peg family was purchased from an artist on Etsy (allipopemade) and will hopefully be in our family forever. Makes me smile every day.
Took me very long to finally accept the fact that I can do anything, draw anthing on my sketchbook, that my sketchbook is a safe place for me to experiment, play, and explore styles, themes, mediums, and other ideas. I used to be so caught up in developing my own style, and being devoted to drawing only portraits.. Well.. now I’ll remember to “just draw!”
Here is my drawing of an alicorn (sometimes also called a pegacorn). I was originally just experimenting with creating light effects, but then I just kept going and this happened :) I don’t have much of a story for him, or even know what kind of environment he would live in....a desert perhaps where his golden wings could reflect the sunlight into the eyes of his enemies. This is the second edition of my snake drawing collection, the first one was titled "slipped secrets" and addressed the conveyance of information between certain parties that should not have been shared. This artwork portrays a sense of love and mutual agreement/understanding using snakes as the conceptual medium through which the action and emotion is portrayed

Soooo.... there's Keeper of the Lost Cities, and there's Star Wars... but what if you combine them? This is the one and only O-Biana Kenobi (Obi-Wan Kenobi and Biana Vacker). I'm actually really, really proud of this, so if you don't mind liking it, I would really appreciate it :) I plan on doing more things like this in the future, such as Emperor Palpitam (Tam Song and Emperor Palpatine) and Darth Vacker (Darth Vader and Fitz Vacker). If you haven't seen Star Wars GO BINGE-WATCH THEM!!! If you haven't read KotLC GO READ THEM ALL!!! I myself am only on 6/8.5 books in that series... anyway I hope you like this... because I worked really, really hard on it.

2021, pandemic is still upon us. My memory is fuzzy but it’s wreaching the one year mark when I had to tell a patient for the first time in my career that they were COVID positive. It was also the first documented COVID diagnosis in our clinic system.
In late 2018, after some time not doing any artwork, I really wanted to get back into it. I fancied doing something different and invested in some soft pastels. This was my first go with them and it was a hell of a learning curve about how they adhere to the paper, and how they blend. I'm not really sure the pastels I was using were soft enough for the look I wanted, but I like how loose this one turned out.
