Wow, its been a while since i was on here. Hope everyone is doing fine with Covid and all. Trying to get into the Spoopy season a little with some Spoopy wings....
My first botanical illustration. Romulea rosea is a small member of the iris family indigenous to the fynbos biome here in South Africa. Oil paint on canvas. A4 size.
(HB pencil on 80mm x 50mm paper) Similar to previous Guardian Spirit works I've done, but this time on an even smaller format so that I can hand them out as calling cards to people I meet. Again, the idea of them is a rib against those who believe in such nonsense as guardian angels and spirit guides.
I’m afraid I don’t have the energy for a more detailed effort today. Inspired by a story by a friend of neighbours having a party during lockdown. Brushpens and posca on coloured A4.
Tried to follow some art propmt lists this October to get my creativity going again. Abandoned this particular list a couple of days in, but I really like this sketch. Pencil on paper.
We all see the world through a different lens.
What I see, and express is different then what you will see.
Your background is different. Your experiences are different.
I know what I see. What about you?
Fancy Cat but this illustration was more a focus on Edgar Allan Poe who died on October 7, 1849. Check out my up-to-date Inktober posts on my IG account: @dittofunkysketch123!
I do not have a premium account yet but I wanted to follow up on Electric Galactic City. This was the original before computer manipulation. It is 24" x 36" mat board. It was one of the many spacey ideas I was working on at the time. It is watercolor pencil and some pen and ink. I failed to complete it as ideas came faster than skills at the time, a long time ago.
