The first version of Dellusion to ever exist. He typically sings somber music, like "Hidden in the Sand" by Tally Hall or "Cry Me a River" by Julie London (both of which you should check out). He's actually quite shy, and likes small crowds. Merry Christmas Eve! Drawn with FireAlpaca.

An animatronic especially designed for a particular individual to climb into it, only for them to get impaled by a variety of steel bits. However, this particular individual was never captured, for their execution was performed only several days after the finishing of this product... so it sits, motionless, in the unused areas of Ringmaster's Pizza Hall. Some endoskeletons I made a while back. The one on the left is spring-safe, which means it can be openly used as a costume. The one on the right is not spring-safe, and has a much higher chance of springlock failure. If you aren't familiar with the concept, springlock failure is basically where, while wearing a suit such as one of these (which are typically inside of mascot suits), the metal parts and such which pull in while a human wears it jolt back into position (which are there so they can operate on stage without a human in them) and dig themselves into your flesh. This normally kills the person inside the suit. Don't worry, though! Not like this is likely to happen. You usually have a 50% chance or higher to live... or less. ;) Drawn with FireAlpaca.

Imagine a slime from an RPG game, like from Terraria or Dragon Quest. This little guy is like one of them --- but he's colored like neapolitan ice cream! He's cold, too --- but certainly not as tasty. It even has a rolled wafer in its back --- a useful weapon to fend off against foes! These guys want to be on your side, and will try to protect you.

Dysodia is a friend's avatar name on another site. I drew this colored pencil drawing as a tribute to her. There are several "leaf moths," this one's common name is: Picture winged leaf moth.

Aside from Elizabeth, Preistor is the only other animatronic created in the version 3 style --- and he isn't even finished. He's missing his outer legs and arms, and fingers, and his rabbit ears. For now, he sits in Jester's workshop --- abandoned, like all the others. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

Never before seen in Konoha... Naruto's been working out!

Richard Dixon. Richard and his brother Asher (and Mitchel, if you count his little brother) live with their two very well-off parents. While his mother works as a surgeon, his father works with animatronics. While Richard looks up to his dad, and loves to work on his own machines, Asher looks up to his mother, and is hoping to one day work in the medical field. While Richard and Asher are around the same age (15), Mitchel is eleven. He wears really big glasses because of his vision, which amplifies his adorability. Will post more of these guys in the future.

This an exercise I like to do every so often, just to lay back and character design. This is a picture of a group of Space Scavengers looking for there next hit!

I figured it'd be a while until I draw (in full detail) ALL of the Altitone band members, so I made each one a sprite. Their names are (from left to right): (The first one is a base), Elizabeth the hot pink cat, Preistor the sky blue rabbit, Altor the golden bear, Bruce the green mouse, Lexibo the violet elephant, Mary the short red fox, Dexter the blue-gray Racoon DJ, and the three cheerleaders: Rosette the crimson mouse, Oopsie the russet fox, and Pastelle the cotton candy short-eared rabbit. On the very bottom are the instruments. In order, they are Elizabeth's mic, Preistor's guitar, Altor's drum set, Bruce's mic, Lexibo's piano, Mary's oil drum (not an instrument, but Mary hides her bottom half in the oil drum, sort of like Looney Bird from The Rock-afire Explosion (which is why she has no legs)), and Dexter's DJ board. The last three are cheerleaders, and their hands have been replaced with cheerleading pom poms. On stage left, we have Dexter and Mary. On the center stage, we have Preistor, Altor, Lexibo, Elizabeth, and Bruce. On stage right is Rosette, Oopsie, and Pastelle. Made with Piskel. Developing my style , I love stippling and cross hatching so thought I’d give it a go!

Another drawing I did a while ago. We've got Edward (the guy with the phone on his head), Dave (in a newly designed springlock Bonnie suit), Jack (in the springlock Foxy suit), nondescript employee, the man who brought everybody back to life (in the springlock Chica suit), and Henry (in the springlock Freddy suit). In the bottom left corner is a lonely freddy. I'm thinking that the tame part of Dave (the one that was seen in the flipside) will be the Dave we see in a human form, but the bad part (the one in Davetrap) would be sealed inside of Plushtrap, forever bound in a tiny body so he couldn't do anything bad. He lives in the back alley of the pizzaria and is the king of the lonely Freddys. Freddies? Freddy's? Oh well. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

Sketching at the Academy (California Academy of Science) with my five year old. This was so fun. There was so much movement that he actually focused on his own sketchbook for long enough for me to get one in. Usually, he's done by the time I put the clips on my book! The Academy and all museums are closed again with SF preemptively joining the rest of the state in the extended stay at home order this past Sunday 12/6/2020. Grateful we got to go several times while it was open.

Version 1 of the Altitone band member, Preistor. His color scheme went from blue (from the prototype vesion) to red (this version, version 1) to blue again (version 2 and onwards). Once again, this guy has been left to rot in a storage unit, somewhere in Jester's workshop. Another note, Jester's workshop is actually quite large, with several hallways, and open spaces. Koala at the zoo. Sketch meetup with my studio art friend Kathy. The zoo may be closing here in a few weeks under the governor's new coronavirus prevention order. That will suck! I take my son every Monday. Our zoo has really beautiful, lush gardens.

Watercolor 2003-4. Patience, good temperament, civility, humility, love describes my grandmother's life--born in the late 1800s, she faced more difficulties in life than I have ever faced. This painting represents longing to return to her.

This oil painting was , for me, an explosion of a new freedom I found after finally getting a home nearly 40 years ago, a room with a sink and a bed and a window. I hadn't painted for years, and never without extreme self-consciousness. But years of homelessness changed me and my appreciation of "art". That freedom eludes me these days, that 'ignorant' notion that I can do whatever comes to me. I'd love to get it back. Surely it's in us all. It may be better to paint to be satisfied than to paint to satisfy...

This little illustration was motivated by recent changes I have experienced at work. We've been asked not to eat lunch together- even when socially distanced, due to recent outbreak of Covid 19 in our area. This captures the feel of isolation at work for me. Hope you like it!
