As the Saviors of Uldum expansion is about to be released, I thought I would take time to draw one of the members of the League of Explorers. Here is the greatly esteemed and renown Sir Finley Mrrgglton.
During my school days I used to love going to the Art at lunch time. We really were able to create what ever we wanted. I used pain brush strokes, tracing paper and really explored.
Back in May, I wanted to do the #mermaychallenge, an online event where artists draw and share their mermaid illustrations during the entire month of May. But I knew I had limited time, with everything happening that month (buying new home/moving/fixing up the old home to sell), and a fulltime job. I created Mer-Kat, a hybrid kitten/mermaid. I felt this was such a fun new character to explore. Life underwater with a feline-based personality.
INEXPLORE - collaborative work with my friend Guillaume (MUTT) Original drawing mixed & paste on this huge wall for an exhibition that was held in Paris. More pictures on my website (nicolasfarade.com)
I've started an experimental phase of my art journey. It's a challenging time for me. I try to draw and paint using different techniques, brushes, and color palettes.
I'm on the way to exploring my artistic voice.
I hope it'll be a great time to share my thought and emotions about this.
The 1st thought I can say is:
I need to be an explorer as often as possible. It allows me to look inside myself. It allows me to get to know myself better. It's very motivating.
Every night Daruna tells the moon goodnight. Daruna loves to wander the world and to explore the surrounding.
Thank you and wish you a wonderful day! :))))

From Sketch to Final Water Coloring Stages, this is a spread from Tide Day! A lot goes into making a good composition, taking into account the center of the image where the binding is, and how to play with size and negative space. One of my favorite things to do is explore contrasting expressions between characters and highlight their emotions through physical stances and expressions. This was a tough challenge with the lack of limbs and the watery context, but Pearl's stubbornness and attitude shines through!
Mother is explaining to Critter about the universe. I'm falling in love with this story and character already. The more I explore this character, the more characters are being created.
Embark on a journey through the mesmerizing world of our colorful rainbow artwork doodle drawing. This captivating creation is a vibrant symphony of hues that come together in harmonious chaos.
Every stroke of the pen is a burst of energy, every line a dance of colors that evoke emotions and spark imagination. From the rich reds that symbolize passion to the serene blues that whisper tranquility, each shade tells a story.
This artwork is a celebration of diversity, a reminder that beauty thrives in differences. It's a reminder of the positivity that radiates when we embrace the spectrum of life. The meticulous detailing and intricate patterns invite you to explore every nook and cranny, discovering hidden gems with each gaze.
Hang this masterpiece in your space, infuse your surroundings with its dynamic spirit. Let the vivid colors breathe life into your world, a testament to the joyful, vibrant, and kaleidoscopic nature of existence.
Part of my personal project of #1111DaysOfArt, where I explore and create something every day for 1111 days. All of these are from a watercolour instruction book I followed along. It is from a Chinese artist called Zhu Qu.
"Ups & Downs" explores the nature of basic shapes/colors and how they interact to tell a story. This piece focuses on an infinite recycled energy, meaning there is no end point to its structure. The aim was to keep it simple yet structurally complex to the eye.
Hey everyone! This is an interactive website I did for my BFA thesis this year. The piece explores the struggles I’ve faced as a black, lesbian woman. This piece features events that happened when I was in an unhealthy relationship in high school, from late-2016 to mid-2017. The work combines CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML with digitized images that I drew on paper, using black colored pencil. I'd really appreciate some feedback and critique for this work. It's best viewed on laptops or monitors, using Chrome or Microsoft edge. It does weird things with Safari. Thanks :). Here's the site link: https://artportfolio.bgsu.edu/~kiraw/
I have been wanting to explore the concept of creating a Vitruvian Women. Also felt like I struggled with the composition of the Reflect piece (which I am working on developing a series). Hence trying to learn from the best - in a scientific way:)
I started a sketchbook 20+ days ago called "microenvironment(s)", where I explore the micro universe and automatic drawing. The rules are:
1. work on 1 page a day.
2. At 80 pages start back over working on top of the first page.
3. Do this 2 more t
Trying to get back into drawing and figured mushrooms would be a fun and non-intimidating subject to explore. So many varieties and a lot of opportunities to stylize them!
