Magnolias are spring harbingers in our garden, as well as our annual ornamental cherry display. Star magnolias are over, tulip magnolias are in full swing, and the occasional Southern magnolia is starting. Perhaps I should have done this with a gouache paint, but I used colored pencils. Every spring I visit this magnificent pin oak when taking my class out to draw.

Today, Feb. 20, 2020, is Love Your Pet day. This drawing is part of a series of Sandwich Bag Art I've been doing since 2008.

I did this quick study a bit ago and thought I'd share! I loved the Hunger Games movies, and wanted to revisit the IP with some art!

This started as something I was doing for fun, but turned into a very strenuous exercise on how to work with this many light sources.

...initially was going to replace the spiders meal for a banana (referring to the piece #Comedian created by artist #Maurizio_Cattelan)...but just could not do it. Had some good conversation about the concept, so hope it leads to more. Instead, it has lead me to explore some other ideas.

After 1-2 week ago i had a lot of work and had a stress.So on this weekend in a evening i went out for relax time with my closefriend and enjoy with jazz song night. Then I come back to sketch with watercolor for my memory.

I'm a big fan of the Deathly Hallows films and the sober, dark air of the story.
