Finally had a day to sit and scribble, first day in a long time. It's fast and loose, but I like how it turned out, and I had fun! My reference was a toy squirrel; but, I think love and death are a bit more interesting. Done in Photoshop. Making original characters is fun. This outfit was made up of weathered clothing and recycled material for a nuclear apocalypse and dangerous desert life. It doesn't look like it'll fit hot climates tho
Sketchbook #7. This time I decided to try 100 heads challenge. It was quite fun, but it took me 2 months instead of 10 days though... I haven't used all the provided references and mixed them with my own. Entries 1-10, mechanical pencil.
My little Brother, Timmey, asked me to draw something scary with his red marker/pen thingy. I said okay and in 5 minutes made this monstrosity. While its not that "scary" it certainly is disturbing. Its funny how the same mind that can create such heartful and goofy images can also create at times depressing or unsettling things like this. I guess every artist can draw "Dark" stuff. They just have to try.
sometimes my head doesn't work right and art doesn't look like art. sometimes i like to simply draw and doodle and not have a plan nor a color scheme. this is an example of that type of in-the-moment artwork sketch in my sketchbook. it includes marker and ink drawings, stickers, and random pieces of scrapbooking materials

A lot of Dutch families who live in the centre have a bakfiets or cargo bike to transport everyone around. This is an old one that relies on peddle power but thank god for electric motors now. From my series Bikes of Amsterdam.
