Day 1: Paloma! My accidental quarantine kind of cocktail! I love grapefruit and I usually use it in a DIY Gatorade but quarantine necessity has found me adding some "cleaning" vodka. (I don't normally drink vodka but I keep some around for natural cleaning).
I bought these grave-etcher brushes from @retrosupply awhile ago and finally tested them out. Digging it! Also practiced working in illustrator with the iPad mirrored. A little buggy and rough for someone who has only worked with a mouse.
After part of my house flooded and feeling off all day, I watched Tales of Earthsea again last night and got pretty inspired, love the dragon design!

Nitescape. The mysterious going city across the great ocean, far away from Nornwan and far forgotten, but they have not forgotten. They still have hints of the old world in their dome of cyber charged pessimism. Carrots from the Marin Agricultural Institute Bounty Box I signed up for so that I can get out for a good bike ride once a week. I used to get my weekly ride in going to the art studio. This needs more darks, but time and energy have seriously been low this last week.
I woke up from an afternoon nap on the couch to this pile of clean laundry. My son says it's boring because there's no color! But it's sumi ink, and I've only got watercolor. I've tried it before, and this ink will run. Time to order some colored pencils? Or use my son's markers!
A quick sketch of the flannel bush in my garden as the sun was setting. I was going to replace it with a salvia munzii, but then the flannel bush bloomed.
My husband got me two new fountain pens and a sample of inks from Goulet pens about a month before the pandemic. I think those ink samples got me through the last 7 weeks of lockdown in an already dreary winter.
