Sometimes, I re-read books and they don't have the same impact as before. Sometimes, I re-read them and they hit me harder.
Roadside picnic by Brothers Strugatsky made me cry. This is my favorite book by them, although I do so love Monday starts on Saturday. But this book! I wish more people would read it.

One morning a little old woman got up and went to the field containing her five cows. She took from the earth a herb with five sprouts and, without breaking either root or branch, carried it home and wrapped it in a blanket and placed it on her pillow. Then she went out again and sat down to milk her cows.
Suddenly she heard tambourine bells jingle and scissors fall, on account of which noise she upset the milk. Having run home and looked, she found that the plant was uninjured. Again she issued forth to milk the cows, and again thought she heard the tambourine bells jingle and scissors fall, and once more she spilled her milk.

"There's a North in us all, but my North can't hold me anymore." Oh man, what a day/week/month it's been. Today was the end of first semester, a bit hard to believe half the year is gone, a bit hard to believe we still have half of a year left. The past 24 hours have been nothing less than mental chaos (maybe my coach was foreshadowing all of this when he asked if I was ok last night...) Anyway, here I am, here we are. Caluzco and Bardy are Grent's friends since the 5th grade and are in Grent's group ever since along with Adely & Nelsy.Compare to other characters,they are easy to draw but finally i drew them.Caluzco (Calum Loretz) is a crazy,erractic class clown who is one of the oldest in the group (he is 17 for failing the 5th grade so is Bardy)he was a foster care since he was a baby and had suffered a lot since then (which explains his behaviour)but now he is jolly but silly most of the times getting in trouble for being reckless along with bardy.Bardy (Bardon) he is not much of a class clown but he loves sports and he loves acting.he's very ordinary compared to his other friends however he can still be rude to Morisson and laughs when he gets mocked by either Grent,Adely or Nelsy or even Devin.he hates math and has learning difficulties like Caluzco but they still work together to make the best of 10th grade.
I do generally put pen (or some kind of tool), to paper (or some kind of surface), every day, but I'm really TRYING to do it purposefully in one singular location (journal). Here is a successful attempt from that particular day.
I'm also super lazy, which means I never go up to my actual studio and only use what's out on my computer desk.
Some more practice with crosshatch shading and the proportions are a bit off. I also somehow made the left side of the bottle fat and it drives me nuts. ヘ（。□°）ヘ Other than that I think it came out ok.
