Watercolor with pink pen. One of my favorite things to do when I draw is just to pile on. It does take longer to complete but I always end up happy that I did it.

I'm traveling through England ans Scotland for the next two weeks, and of course that meant I had to start a new travel sketchbook! I found it fitting that the first page shows the route I will be on.

What would you reply if your cat say meow

WHIP IT GOOD. This ode to Devo was drawn with fountain pen ink run through brush markers. The watercolor effect was me running a wet brush through parts to make the fountain pen ink lift and pool. If you want more Leah Fun™, be sure to check out instagram Super_Starling!

SOC., an abbreviation of SOCIETY. My society is full of blood money, even everybody depends on it as the full-time achiever. A caption of "CONTROL YOU NOT!" shows to the society at large that they should not let it control their winsomeness

I took the skulls of monkeys/apes I'd drawn about a year ago and incorporated them into some new collages that include mandalas I did about a month or two ago. Cutting, cutting, cutting, paper everywhere. I'm a huge mess. The second one is Billy / Jigsaw from Saw!

Sometimes in life you've gotta draw a genie that's based on Lady GaGa. Don't blame me. Blame the inevitability of existence. This was ink and watercolor with a bit of assistance from Photoshop.

Picasso + calligraphy flourishes + Marie Antoinette = whatever is happening here, I think.

I went to the museum and started sketching some of the masks and things that were in there..

Sometimes I like to take ink splats and try to figure out what they are. Could there possibly be anything better than "crab dab"?

Doodling my faces, this time on a piece of wood from a pallet. Re-cycling! Used watercolors and colored pencils, Carved out some spots to add dimension.

Nero extra soft oil based pencil is a great doodling and sketching tool that I have been using for a couple of years. Not smudgy and delivers good lines.

This is the bottom half to a recent sketch, just my take on a technological based breed that are spoon fed opinions from various sources.

The Molting Man first appeared on my Red Spread (see second image); I refined him for the green spread (first). This bizarre Icarus deserves some kind of short story about him. I'm not sure what the plot would be. It's probably tragic.

My friend wanted nautical creatures for the back of her business cards, so VOILA. These are ink doodles that were scanned and given some color/grunge in Photoshop.

These ones are about my darkest, pathetic thoughts. I'm really sorry that they're Turkish again :(

This is a book Cover for a christian publishing house that wanted a pattern. The book is written for young/teenage leaders.

I feel kind of lost these days... I am an artist, this is who I am and this is the only thing I wanna be, but can I really do it? Can you do this, even though everyone around you say it's impossible? Do they all have a point when they say that "but you are so smart!!! Why would you wanna waist it and be an artist" thing? Other people may see my job as a dream job, but I hate it.. all I want to do is create, be an artist, be me. But is it really possible?...

I drew scribbles with my left hand, then drew what I thought they might be on top. This spread has a weird, lopsided vibe that I kind of like.

A doodle in the series "Spot the Tennis Ball Doodle" I did years ago. There are many story in this drawing. One thing makes me love doodling the best is you can put so many stories within a single canvas. I love stories, I love telling as much. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The main story I want to tell here in this picture is the loving CARROT fox. He just desperately want to have carrot for meals but only the Hares, Rabbits grow them. And they doesn't like foxes. But lucky for him, somehow, he find a friend who can help him with that, a HARE friend. The friendship of two is beautiful. Hm, you know, just one of the normal days, the Fox wait for the Hare to carry for him a carrot. The waiting was long and Fox just couldn't stay still. But the Hare came finally, and the Fox was so happy, he JUMP!
