Appropriationnisme ou le « Remake » Édouard Manet : le déjeuner sur l’herbe Français : L’Appropriationnisme ou le « Remake » est un concept simple. En effet, il suffit de reprendre le travail d’un artiste et signer la nouvelle production de son nom. Il ne s’agit, en aucun cas, de copier l’œuvre comme pourrait le faire un faussaire. Il ne s’agit pas non plus de plagier l’œuvre. En ce qui me concerne, j’utilise l’œuvre célèbre d’un artiste reconnu. En réutilisant une œuvre originale préexistante et célèbre, condition sine qua non, je propose de rendre un hommage. Il ne s’agit en aucun cas d’un manque d’inspiration surtout lorsque l’on sait maintenant que : « l’art naît de l’art et non de la nature » : Ernst Gombrich. Dans cette série, j’ai voulu revisiter des œuvres célèbres en utilisant ma technique graphique de l’éloge de l’approximation mettant en évidence la problématique de la défaillance et de la mémoire vaporeuse. It is not a question of copying the work as a forger could do. It is not a question of plagiarizing the work. As far as I'm concerned, I use the famous work of a recognized artist. By reusing a pre-existing and famous original work, condition sine qua non, I propose to pay tribute. It is by no means a lack of inspiration especially when we now know that: "art is born of art and not of nature": Ernst Gombrich. This time, again, two combinations. I believe the hues are very nice and calming. I used yellow ochre as the yellow color (PY 43, PY 1). On the upper part, the cobalt blue (PB 28) is used, on the lower part - it's ultramarine (PB 29).

Here is my recreation of Adam using pointillism. I can't quite figure out how to draw the foot, so it turned out cartoonish, but well, I tried.

Eve is a continuation on my series of portraits. This piece represents my maturing technique and style as I begin to experiment with creamy consistencies. The painting displayed my ability to capture facial expressions. My trip to Paris, France influenced my painting style. I was struck by the realism and drama depicted in various compositions, but also the lack of diversity. This piece is named "Eve" questioning whether the holy subjects depicted in European art were, in fact, part of a different race altogether.

I was overthinking of what to doodle which is seldom the case as you can see, there’s still a doodle as the finishing even so with that doodler’s block going on. Drawn with acrylic

Whenever I go to the art store, I see those pencils, erasers, sharpeners, sketch pads eager to graduate from the store to their rightful owners for another schooling which they only graduate when been used up.

Uprooting creature voyage further toward the claim of loud waters emerging. Profound wind amuse these senses accordingly. Beautiful witness proclaim happiness in these walking branches.

To consume, witness vibrant hallucinations through dark struggles in life. What fears must lurk here? Alone in tundra steps further, thinking of a different age.

Vibrant feeling that soar through the meaning, balance, and beauty. Creatures happily delighted within their dancing realm. A smile upon their faces, happiness emerges.

Heart and mind that possess conflict upon one another. Fractures seen, but with struggle emerge the odd frame presented. Vibrancy in the core.

(Old art) Quick sketch of a friend's OC. In return, they made me one (1) meme, if I remember correctly. Though the drawing was fun and the meme was rather amusing, my artistic dignity is more important than receiving payment to create art. As you can see, I prefer more to show off my older art, as I have more gems from my old days of yore, yet I personally believe that I have some recent sketches that are absolute gems, and deserve to be put upon this glimmering community soon.

A heavy WIP of my illustration based on the Broadway musical "HEATHERS" song, "Meant To Be Yours." When it comes to digital art, everything I've done has all been self taught. I began this piece when I first began on my I-pad and am still at it till I can make this piece what I envision it to be. I learned a lot of shadowing and effects on this piece, and I can't wait to complete it! What do you think thus far?

An original character of mine. November 2018. Her name is Jinx Muun. A modern day witch, born on the 1st full Moon, on Friday the 13th. She is a feisty, independent and strong young woman. Her powers come out most during a full moon, where her skin takes on a lilac color and her eyes shift colors as well.

I’m fascinated in how something may make you feel. For instance, I’m deeply moved by images of outer space from the Hubble space telescope, but I do not try to recreate those photographs in my work. What does not exist in those photos, is how they may make us feel. This is why you won’t see any “realism” in my art. When we send astronauts to space, they can discuss factually what is happening, but what truly moves human beings is when astronauts describe how they felt while they were there. So, I choose to express how I feel, as opposed to illustrate what I see.
