hi

Cover for a short graphic novel I made for my final project at design school.

Created using Procreate.

The other day I saw pictures of a Russian gala beginning of the 1900. The royalty was wearing extravagant beautiful clothing and they inspired this piece. Due to the card stock used and the subject I also decided to not use color but leave it at black, white and dark Grey. I would love feedback as I adore how it turned out. Is essence this to me was partially a study on the fashion of Russia in the 1900 as well as a chance to play around with 'colored' paper and how to use black and white to make most of what I had with me. I hope to make another piece like this again in the future, hopefully have it perhaps even more extravagant. This piece was made using. Gray cardstock, fineliner, uniball signo pen and a white pencil. © Iris de Wolf. CatiWorks

Inktober day 5

Been a while since I've doodled and uploaded here!

Kicking off Inktober with some creepiness for the prompt "Ring". I never do this all the way through but maybe this year is the year.

See you there~ day 1 (my inktober drawings this year will have paint too :))

this is a traditional illustration in colored pencil and copic marker of Venom swinging over a city street drawn on an Amazing Spider-man blank sketch cover. See more at Sketchcardsandcovers.com

I am a huge fan of this show! The drawing is done with ballpointpens and the skin colour looks a bit strange since I only had a red, blue, black, pink, purple and green pen. Thank you very much for looking at my drawing!!

This is a coloured pencil, and ink drawing.

Had this fricken' idea today...

black and white drawing

Life has been BUSY! Managed to get in a bit of practice today, slowly getting better at facial proportions which has been a real struggle for me. My next challenge is trying to find a pencil sharpener big enough for this Lyra Color Giant pencil I have been using :D

Sketching in Procreate on the iPad.

Here's some artwork of a friend's fursona (she doesn't have Doodle Addicts), her name is Whisper!

These are the results from a request to create a piece based on a fathers son's nicknames. The older brother is the moon, second the bear, third the bird. Added the stars as the parents. His first request was of a tattoo of sorts ...but I struggled and my drawings kept turning into children illustrations. I so enjoyed the challenge and it gave me an opportunity to honor the love of family. At the same time, it was hard to associate them into a tattoo:) .

Artwork of a friend's fursona, named Fang :'))

This image was completed in graphite and black pastel with a matte finish.

This piece was created using graphite. It demonstrates the struggles of those who suffer from mental illnesses on the inside and on the outside.

I drank some wine and ate some Chinese food and listened to some music and finally threw up in ink on this paper for your indifferent judgement.

I had no eraser for this one, and only one rather thick pencil, but I like how it turned out.

Did a doodle sketch. Didn’t really know where this idea was going when I started it then it grew into a kind of cityscape sunset in the end. I was trying to sort of do a bridge around the buildings in an abstract unidimensional way. Well thought it was creative and different in the end.

Just a super simple character design I made, Raven. :)

Mixed media - watercolor, graphic marker, pen. Artwork is a piece of Hybrid Mythologies stories, to be featured in the book by the same name.

A rererework I finally liked. Opinions are welcome. Done with Kuretake brushes and gel pens. I used a photo from Girli as a reference.

It’s been a crazy summer that’s kept me from posting much, although I’ve kept fairly consistent drawing in my sketchbook. With a cross country move and taking our oldest child to college, we’ve burned about 4,500 miles on the road in the past month. After getting our son settled in his dorm yesterday, my husband and I have become official members of the Empty Nesters Club - giving inspiration to today’s sketchbook entry. • • • #sketch #sketching #sketchbook #sketchbookpage #sketchbookart #sketchaday #dailysketch #ink #penandink #pensketch #illustration #illustrator #watercolor #watercolorsketch #watercolorpainting #emptynesters #nest #birdnest
